Together with the Finnish company Durat Oy, Avaava has developed a range of accessible washbasins for toilet and bathroom facilities. The washbasin tops are made of the ecological, polyester-based material Durat. Recycled plastic is used in the manufacturing process and the washbasin tops are also recyclable.
There are three accessible basic washbasin tops: rest home washbasin top EST 100, accessible public toilet washbasin top EST 200, and accessible hotel room washbasin top EST 300.
The sizes of the washbasin tops can be fully customized for any site. To some extent, it is also possible to vary the size and shape of the washbasin. There are numerous colour options. Attached correctly, the washbasin top can support weight and support handles can be integrated into it. In addition to the standard washbasin models, it is also possible to manufacture special customised washbasins.
Developed in Finland, Durat is an ecological solid plastic material that contains about 30% recycled plastic and is 100% recyclable. Durat is the only solid surface manufacturer that uses recycled plastic in their products. Owing to its easy workability, Durat can also be used for manufacturing many kinds of tops and customised products, in addition to a wide variety of standard washbasin solutions. The accessible Durat tops can be used with many different washbasin sizes. Durat feels warm and silky, but can withstand heavy use. Durat is a durable material, and its surface can be renewed by light sanding, if required. Durat has an extensive colour palette. More than 70 colours are available. Custom colours are available on request.
