This accessibility statement explains how well the Avaava web service complies with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services, what shortcomings there are in the accessibility of the website and how you can give us feedback on accessibility problems.

More detailed information on technical accessibility

The online service is not yet fully accessible.

Content or features that are not yet accessible:

  • Website has some inaccurate link texts. (WCAG 2.4.4)
  • Some graphics do not have appropriate alt-texts. (WCG 1.1.1)
  • In certain situations, keyboard focus is not clearly distinguished. (WCAG 2.4.7)
  • Input errors in the website’s newsletter subscription and contact forms are not visually or programmatically indicated with sufficient clarity. There are no suggestions provided for correcting the errors. (WCAG 1.3.1, 3.3.1, and 3.3.3)
  • The website’s structure does not always convey correctly to screen reader users: the footer list structure is not interpreted correctly by the screen reader. Additionally, there are some extra links in the service that only become apparent when using a screen reader. (WCAG 1.3.1)
  • The mobile menu lacks an accessible name and role. It cannot currently be used with a keyboard and screen reader. (WCAG 2.1.1 and 4.1.2)
  • The site does not fully adapt to zoom levels and different screen sizes. Language options in the mobile menu cannot be found when text on the site is enlarged. (WCAG 1.4.10)
  • There are no multiple ways to locate a web page within a set of web pages. (WCAG 2.4.5)
  • There are sections of the online service in which the markup language does not fully confirm to specifications. (WCAG 4.1.1)

An effort will be made to correct the shortcomings listed in this statement during the early part of the 2024.

How have we tested accessibility?

The observations in this accessibility statement are based on the assessment by Avaava Oy’s Accessibility Experts to determine if the service complies with legally defined requirements.
